Ace your AINS® & CPCU® exams with the help of our study materials!
- Customization: When you make your online flashcards, you can put whatever you want, whereas if you used a pre-purchased set, you are stuck with only the terms & definitions that those creators used. Don’t really get their explanation? Or, is there another element of the concept that you are always forgetting & really need to practice that isn’t included on the pre-made card? No problem! With online flashcards, you can just edit the card to fit your specific needs!
- Variety of ways to use the cards: With traditional cards, all you can really do is study the two sides, but with online flashcard sites, you can have tests, worksheets, and even games created based on the content you entered. For example, Quizlet.com has an Asteroids-like game where the definitions fall from the sky and you have to type in the vocabulary term before they hit the ground below. The added time element gives you a chance to practice recalling the information quickly in a way that traditional flashcards might not be as good at accomplishing. If you are looking for the widest variety of study methods, Quizlet.com is probably the best option you will find.

- Portability & ease of handling: Why lug all your cards when you can just use an app and swipe? Both Quizlet.com and Cram.com have mobile versions so you can access your cards anytime, anywhere! Standing in line at the bank? Waiting to pick up your kids? You can study at a moment’s notice with online flashcards!
- Access to other students’ card sets: Quizlet.com and Cram.com already have sets of CPCU flashcards that past users have created, which you are free to use. The risk of using someone else’s card set is that they might have inaccurate information, but you can double check them yourself to decide if you trust their content. The benefit to using other people’s online flashcard sets are that 1) you don’t have to create your own set from scratch, and 2) seeing the definition in someone else’s words is yet another good way to test your understanding of a concept.
Quizlet.com and Cram.com are both free to use, but may display ads occasionally in exchange for the use of their services. They do offer paid upgraded membership options where you can eliminate the ads and access even more features (like adding pictures or sounds to your flashcards).
Now, as great as flashcards are for helping you prepare for your CPCU exam, it’s difficult to fully prepare and understand the relationship between concepts using only flashcards. Round our studies with our CPCU study guides, which do a better job of showing you how different concepts relate to each other or fit into the bigger picture.

About your instructor
Insurance Exam Guides (IEG) was founded by Stacy Trinh, CPCU®, who first started her teaching journey at the request of her co-workers who were preparing for their CPCU exams. Because of her reputation as an adept trainer and motivator, Stacy's co-workers had asked her to lead a class. The feedback on her sessions and study materials was overwhelming positive, and her students encouraged her to share what she had to offer with the rest of the CPCU community.
Since then, Stacy created a library of study materials for both CPCU® and AINS® that have helped thousands of students pass their exams. As an accounting major and former claims adjuster, her style of instruction incorporates both a financial and operational perspective that makes her study materials well-rounded. She looks forward to helping many more students continue to succeed, including you!
